oscar nominations
discussion moderated by Variety's kirstin swanson and claude brodesser

Monday, February 11th at the NCC Hollywood Salon...
It's the night before OSCAR nominations are announced. Come discuss your
favorite films and performances in a HOLLYWOOD SALON where you and your
opinions take centerstage.
An award is given out honoring someone in the
entertainment industry every 1.7 hours. And the granddaddy of
them all -- OSCAR -- names his favorites at 5:30 ayem Tuesday sending
Tinseltown into overdrive. Who are the Oscar faves? How will the kudocast
fare at the new Kodak Theatre? Will Ron Howard garner a helming nod?
What in heaven's name was "Mulholland Drive" all about?
Moderated by star VARIETY Reporter Claude Brodesser and
VARIETY Editor Kirstin Swanson.
Our Salon formats give you a chance to share your views and get to know
others in a wide-ranging conversation about movies and work in Hollywood
and Enron and other topics of interest to you. This is what SALONing
is all about!
Join us, along with these top smart, funny, knowledgable showbiz reporters.
So, you're tired of sitting around waiting for the phone to ring. Let's face it, it's not what you know, it's WHO you know, so why don't you come get to know us? The Hollywood Salon is movers and shakers, celebs and wanna-be celebs getting together over a beer and a memory of a faraway place.
We're not all Nebraskans - some of us just like to hang out with Nebraskans - but we're all part of the magic of Hollywood. Join us at 7:30 on the SECOND Monday of every month at CBS Television City. Yep, that's the big network studios all right, at Beverly and Fairfax, right in the heart of La-La Land, USofA. Enter at the Artist's Entrance off of Fairfax.
Just five bucks covers parking, refreshments and a chance to win fabulous Nebraska prizes. There's usually a VIP guest--check out the list of recent ones and see who you've been missing. You'll have a chance to share your news and needs in our Show and Tell. But the best part is all the friends you'll meet--old friends and new friends. Most of them will know where you come from. And all of them are bigwigs (or tomorrow's bigwigs) in Hollywood. Be sure to call ahead--security is tight, and we want you on our guest list. Just call the 24-hour hotline before 3pm on the dy of the Salon to RSVP: (213) 368-4NCC
